David Eisenstadt
formed The Communications Group Inc. in Toronto in 1973 after a
stint as Public Relations Manager of one of Canada's "hot"
ad agencies, Goodis, Goldberg & Soren and as a corporate Public
Relations Representative with IBM Canada Ltd. in Toronto. He is
a Political Science (B.A. 1966) graduate of the University of Alberta
at Calgary and has a graduate degree in Journalism (1967) from Carleton
University in Ottawa. His journalism background includes the Calgary
Albertan and Canadian Press Wire Service.
In 2007, Mr. Eisenstadt
was elected a Senator at the University of Calgary.
Mr. Eisenstadt is Past-Chairman
of Pinnacle Worldwide, an international network of leading independent
public relations firms. The Communications Group Inc. became the
Toronto-based Canadian Pinnacle Worldwide partner firm in 1986 through
2002.

Mr. Eisenstadt
received the Phillip A. Novikoff Memorial Award in June 2004 from
the Canadian Public Relations Society for helping further the standing
of PR through professional services to CPRS and the community at
large.
He has served as International
Chairman of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Counsellor
Academy's Executive Committee; is a Past-President of the Canadian
Public Relations Society's Consultants Institute in Toronto, has
served on the CPRS National Accreditation Board and has served on
the CPRS College of Fellows Board.
He was elected a
Fellow of the College, Public Relations Society of America in 1995
and was elected as the first Fellow of the College, Canadian Public
Relations Society in 1999. A Member of the Order of the University
of Calgary, Mr. Eisenstadt is a frequent author and commentator
on the business of public relations, having prepared numerous articles
for major Canadian newspapers, magazines and books. He currently
serves on a number of Canadian association boards and committees
in a communications advisory capacity.
