TORONTO, May 3, 2018 – Kent Wengler and Alexander Bruni have launched a new real estate sales brokerage and consulting firm called BRICK + MORTAR REALTY INC. (www.brickandmortarrealty.ca).
Brick + Mortar Realty is a GTA-based boutique real estate brokerage and consulting firm representing new home and condo developers throughout Ontario. With over 40 years of partner experience in the new home sales category, Brick + Mortar offers industry leading innovation in real estate research, consulting and sales.

He joined PMA in 1983 as a Research Analyst, became VP of Research in 1988, Executive Vice President in 2011 and named President in 2016 through February 2018.
Over the years, he was the driving force behind Housing Data Reports, Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD)’s source for housing market statistics and information before merging with Realnet Canada, now Altus Group. A BILD Director from 2014-17, Wengler graduated from McMaster University (Urban Geography – 1982) and earned a Research Techniques Diploma from Sheridan College (1983). He is currently Chair of BILD’s Associates Council.
“Having worked with many of the top high-rise and low-rise GTA builders, we believe our holistic approach will be refreshing to those builders and developers who need an objective viewpoint from the beginning of the development process through feasibility studies and other analyses that drive land purchase decisions,” Wengler said.
Bruni also gained experience at PMA Brethour from 2012-February 2018. Most recently he was Research Director, where he was responsible for a comprehensive market analysis program including research and feasibility studies, competitive analyses, monthly updates, focus groups, and demographic studies utilizing GIS mapping. This was offered as a value-added service to brokerage clients and on a consulting basis to research clients. Bruni, alongside Wengler, also headed sales management teams for a variety of builders and developers, on both high-rise and low-rise projects.
“Brick + Mortar offers knowledgeable and insightful research from the get-go, and when a development is about to come to market, we will create a launch schedule, build a sales and administrative team, including licensed realtors, and create a detailed sales strategy that will see the development through from launch to sell-out,” Bruni said.
Bruni is a Schulich School of Business, B.Bus. Admin. (2011) graduate, a LEED Green Associate through the Green Building Certification Institute and a soon-to-be licensed broker through the Real Estate Council of Ontario.
