DUNDEE 360 A KEY PLAYER IN FAIRMONT QUEEN ELIZABETH HOTEL INOVA WIN
MONTREAL, PQ, December 4, 2017 – As the repositioning and project manager for The Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel, DUNDEE 360 Real Estate Corporation, working for Ivanhoé Cambridge who was recently awarded the Urban Development Institute of Québec’s 2017 INOVA Award for the $140 million renovation of the hotel’s guest rooms and public spaces. The hotel was closed for one year but reopened in July 2017, in time for Montréal’s 375th and Canada’s 150th anniversaries.

Among the highlights of the renovation at ground level are the Agora multi-purpose public space for programming and pop-up shops, an artisan market, a new restaurant, bar and coffee lounge. On the second level, the convention floor features flexible conference, multi-purpose and meeting rooms, digital signage technology, and one of the fastest networks in Montréal. On the third floor, a business campus offers diverse meeting and work spaces that can be adapted to a variety of needs and meeting sizes. The campus is an innovative business venue with 13 rooms that nurture creativity and collaboration. Inspired by consultation with experiential meeting experts, the PING room has a ping-pong table, and the SWING room includes a set of swings. This campus adjoins a new outdoor terrace that can accommodate up to 350 guests.
On the hotel’s top floor, Espace C2 offers a state-of-the art space, which will allow for conferences, executive retreats, and business meetings. This venue also includes a rooftop terrace with a spectacular 360° view that can accommodate up to 220 guests. In addition, the hotel offers business clients the opportunity to select from a variety of eco-friendly, sustainable options such as disposable-free food and beverage services and recycling stations in the meeting rooms. These initiatives have earned the hotel four out of five Green Keys, based on the Green Key Global evaluation of properties.

To continue the hotel’s history as one of Montréal’s most iconic landmarks, the new design blends contemporary decor with a vintage flair. This building is a historic heritage monument, and is now well prepared to serve guests and clients well into the 21st century in style.”
