Ricarda’s 134 to open this summer in Toronto, bringing a taste of the Mediterranean
TORONTO, July 5, 2016 – Amid the hustle and bustle of Toronto’s vibrant entertainment district, Ricarda’s 134 will open its doors this summer at the new QRC West building.
Showcasing modern Mediterranean fare, Ricarda’s restaurant will also operate a bakery and cocktail lounge accentuating meticulously planned menus helmed by Executive Chef, Sam Girgis and Bakery Head, Sarah Tsai.
Ricarda’s kitchen concept invites guests to step up to food stations, meet the chefs, note locally sourced ingredients, and see firsthand how carefully each Mediterranean-inspired dish is prepared.
Signature to Ricarda’s are the “Mediterranean Experience Booths” that small groups can reserve during dinner hours. This unique Toronto experience is hosted by charismatic chefs who take centre stage on an impressive journey of flavour, featuring custom menus inspired by one or more of the distinctive Mediterranean regions. “Visiting Ricarda’s will be like journeying across the world,” described David Whissell, General Manager of Ricarda’s. “But the only thing our guests will need to pack is their taste buds.”
Ricarda’s bakery and café will serve freshly prepared daily desserts, pastries and artisanal breads paired with decadent coffee roasts. Made-on-demand grab-and-go meal options are also available for busy professionals who don’t have time for a sit-down lunch.
Attico Bar & Tapas is a chic cocktail lounge located inside the QRC West building overlooking the building’s architecturally stunning atrium. “It’ll be the perfect spot for people to grab a drink, have a few bites and really take in the atmosphere of the building’s innovative design,” said Whissell.
Ricarda’s also offers full-service event planning and catering services. The events team provides all aspects of event planning, including audio visual, rentals, staging, florals, photography and catering. Drawing from an extensive list of preferred suppliers, Ricarda’s assists in customizing unique events with distinctive touches.
