MISSISSAUGA, ON – September 27, 2017 – Two Men And A Truck® will collect food donations from and for the Mississauga community ahead of this year’s Thanksgiving Day celebrations.
Two Men And A Truck® vehicles will be in front of the Metro store (intersection of Erin Mills Pkwy and Lincoln Green Way) from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday, September 30, 2017.
The company’s goal is to get at least 1000 lbs. of food to donate to families in need. Omar Sleem, General Manager of the company’s franchise at Mississauga said, “1000 lbs. would provide approximately 1,205 meals to needy neighbours in the city. We are delighted to team with Metro and The Mississauga Food Bank as we strive to give back to the community on this special occasion.”
Sleem highlighted that the items most needed are canned fish or meat, peanut butter, beans, canned pasta and veggies, pasta, sauce, condiments and snacks. “We hope to collect enough food to stock their shelves through the Thanksgiving holiday,” he said.
