Deserving Mississauga Family to Receive New Home at Dedication Ceremony

At 2:00 pm., on Sunday, May 29th 2011, an excited Mississauga family will be on hand to receive the keys to their new home provided by Habitat for Humanity Mississauga in partnership with The Daniels Corporation and Citi Canada. The home dedication ceremony, a customary Habitat for Humanity event in celebration of the dream of home ownership, will take place at 3050 Erin Centre Blvd., Unit 150.
This unique opportunity was launched at Daniels FirstHome™ Destination Drive Phase Two in Erin Mills last fall. The Daniels Corporation and Citi Canada have partnered with Habitat for Humanity Mississauga in a new concept to help deserving families realize their dream of homeownership.
A “first” in Canada, Habitat acquired a partially completed townhome within the Daniels community at significantly reduced costs as volunteers completed the interior with a total labour contribution of 3,312 hours. This approach – a shift from Habitat’s usual ‘ground up build’ was made possible with substantial support from both Daniels and Citi.
We look forward to having you join with our build partners, sponsors, local politicians, and Habitat volunteers as the keys to the house are presented, and we welcome the partner family to their new home.
