TORONTO, February 20, 2013… Toronto’s hottest new live entertainment venue continues to spice up the local music scene with the Indie Series @ Paintbox Bistro SEASON OF ENTERTAINMENT, Thursday, February 28 presented by Mojo Records & Publishing. This follows the successful launches of the Jazz Series and Comedy Series, all sponsored by The Daniels Corporation. Events in all three Series continue into late winter/early spring.

MELISSA CAMERON AND LOW LEVEL FLIGHT
Melissa Cameron is a versatile artist with roots in Canada’s west coast. Her debut solo EP, “Back To Me” was released in October 2011, and is a sweeping collection of sultry melodies, delivered with velvety precision. She is currently working on her full-length release from Toronto.
Low Level Flight is a quintet fronted by Canadian Idol Season One winner Ryan Malcolm and featuring Hugh Allen, James Rooke, Brandon Merenick, and Sebastien Duhaime. These self-described “hook-laden rockers” are in the process of bringing their inimitable sound to their second album, Through These Walls, which melds personal experience and insight for philosophical and yet direct and compelling listening.
Coming out for the Indie Series provides the perfect opportunity to also sample Paintbox’s delicious menu. The Toronto Star in a recent review lauded Paintbox Bistro not just for the creativity and technical proficiency of its food (and the good value it offers), but also for its social mission: the Bistro is “helping to revitalize Regent Park, one scrumptious roasted heirloom carrot at a time” by hiring marginalized individuals and training them in the finer points of operating a restaurant.
