RUM N'RAISIN FLIP – NEW WINTER WARM-UP

TORONTO, January 28, 2013…Bartender Shane Mulvany’s newest creation:
Ingredients
1.75 oz El Dorado 5 Year Old Rum
0.25 oz Pedro Ximenez Sherry
*1oz Raisin Syrup
1oz Guinness
1 Whole Egg
Garnish with grated nutmeg
 
Method
Shake all ingredients without ice to incorporate and aerate the egg. Shake hard for 30 seconds with a full shaker of ice.
Strain through a tea strainer and garnish with grated nutmeg.
 
*Raisin Syrup:
Add 1 cup of boiling water to 1 cup of raisins, heat on medium/low heat for 15 mins. Strain the raisin water and add 2 cups of sugar to the hot mixture gradually until sugar has fully dissolved. Let the mixture cool and use.
